April 11, 2016 / Prayer

Last month we learned that God is our best friend, our provider, our refuge, our love, our father, and
our everything! This month we will be focusing on prayer. We will learn what prayer is, how important
it is for us as Christians to pray, and lastly how to and what to pray for.
Memory Verse: Psalm 27:7 Hear, O Lord,
I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
Song of the Month: Tu Eres mi Todo
Bible reading: Jeremiah 29: 11-13
We know that God is our father and our best friend. What are some of the things we do when we want our
parents to buy us something? We usually say mommy or daddy can you buy me ……usually our parents will
buy us what we asked for if we are good.

What do we do when we have a secret to tell? We tell our best friend.

What do we do to have a better relationship with our parents and our best friends? We talk to them.

The same way it is with our father in heaven and our best friend in heaven, which is God. In order to have
what we want, and have a good relationship with our best friend in heaven we must talk to Him everyday as
many times as we can. God loves it when we talk to Him. Another name for talking to God is called prayer.
Isn’t it great that God wants us to talk to Him. How should we talk or pray to God? The Bible tells us in
Jeremiah 29:13 that when we pray, God wants us to pray with all of our heart and really talk to Him. It’s
very easy just tell him how your day went, how you feel, what you would like for him to do for you, just as
if your talking to your mom and dad.

Don’t forget to Pray!

Goodnight 🙂
